In the build-up to the release of the Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau 2017, the famous restaurant guide has unveiled a list of 75 restaurants that have received the Bib Gourmand.
And what is the Bib Gourmand you ask? It is an award given by the inspectors to establishments offering a quality set three-course menu for a maximum of HK$300.
Sixty-three establishments have been awarded a Bib Gourmand in Hong Kong, and twelve in Macau.
Among them, four have received the award for the first time: Brass Spoon, which offers Vietnamese cuisine; CIAK-All Day Italian, which offers Italian cuisine; Liu Yuan Pavillon, a restaurant offering Shanghai specialities; and Sing Kee located in Central, specialising in Cantonese cuisine.
In Macau, Castiço, which offers Portuguese dishes, and Xin which specializes in hotpot, have also won a Bib Gourmand for the first time.
The Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau 2017 is released on 9 November.
