Last week, over 400 guests attended the AustCham Westpac Australia-China Business Awards (ACBA) Gala Dinner in Hong Kong, inside the luxurious Grand Hyatt Ballroom. Founded in Hong Kong, the ACBA is organised by the Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham) and celebrates outstanding Australian, Chinese and Hong Kong businesses operating across the Greater China region.
The months-long judgment process involves detailed reviews and interviews of nominated companies, which range from small-scale entrepreneurs to multinational companies. For the 26th iteration of the ACBA, over 193 nominations were entered. Ultimately, just eight companies, from across a diverse list of industries, including the agricultural, construction, consumer services, cross-border investment, and digital economy sectors, were awarded the much-coveted accolade at the exclusive event.
The celebratory ACBA Gala Dinner was made even more special thanks to speeches from such luminaries as the Honourable Carrie Lam, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, and Yang Yirui, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in HK SAR.
