CÉ LA VI teamed up with Selvedge Grooming during June to offer a different take on their brunch. In addition to the existing brunch package, CE LA VI introduced two thirst-quenching Selvedge Grooming inspired cocktails and one dessert.
The Barber Gimlet cocktail was served in an old fashioned glass and made with gin, lime, kaffir lime leaf syrup and rhubarb bitters, garnished with lime wedge and a kaffir lime leaf.
Inspired by the Moscow mule recipe, the Moustache Mule contained traditional vodka and ginger beer, as well as honey and grapefruit juice for the perfect combination of sweet and sour. The cocktail was topped off with a slice of pink grapefruit.
The dessert, A Close Shave, consisted of a mini matcha tart, cinnamon pate a choux, mini cinnamon bun, cinnamon crumble, fresh fruits, mango pudding with fresh mangos and mango passion fruit.
We visited CÉ LA VI to sample their cocktails and dessert, and take in a shaving masterclass.
CÉ LA VI’s Sunday brunch is priced at HK$488. It is an additional HK$88 for free-flow non-alcoholic drinks and HK$498 for two hours of free-flow Moët & Chandon Vintage, Veuve Clicquot Rosé (HK$398) or Veuve Clicquot (HK$298), which also includes unlimited selected red and white wines, beer and other cocktails.
