A select group of local socialites were invited to the Peninsula Hotel to put their taste buds to the test at a chocolate-themed tasting event hosted by Johnnie Walker Blue Label recently.
The chocolate-inspired menu featured duck liver with caramel chocolate, deep fried sardine fillet with white chocolate and seaweed sabayon, roasted pheasant breast with dark cacao five-spice sauce and glazed short rib with chocolate barbecue sauce.
The luxury blended Scotch whisky was served throughout the evening to allow guests to sample the pairing of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with chocolate.
The event was held to launch Johnnie Walker’s Christmas gift set which includes a bottle of 75 cl Johnnie Walker Blue Label paired with The Peninsula Boutique’s award-winning, handmade artisanal chocolates.
