Canadian luxury outerwear marque Mackage has picked Hong Kong as their city of choice for opening its first-ever flagship shop in Asia, and has chosen the K11 MUSEA mall in Victoria Dockside to unveil its first shop.
Stepping into the 153sq. m space is like stepping into a wondrous winterland with its subtle sculptural references to snow and ice. But while the interiors may transport you to a snowy paradise, even a casual perusal of the outerwear on offer will leave you feeling snug and cosy.
Often gracing the wardrobes of such international celebrities as Meghan Markle, Gigi Hadid, Madonna and Zac Efron, it’s no wonder that Mackage’s collections combine the softest leather and the finest down and wool to create pieces that are at once functional and fashionable.
Indeed, founders Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan – who launched the brand 20 years ago – seem to pride themselves on getting the balance between form and function just right. So while classic overcoats with waterfall collars and chic leather jackets in white, magenta and black adorn the racks attracting your eye in the first place, it’s the neat silhouettes and precision details that holds your attention.
