With Canada’s National Day in the offing there really only was one place to be – the Rotunda in Central’s Exchange Square. This year the chosen theme was Cool Connected Canada, with the occasion proving a chance to highlight the shared history between the land of the Mountie and Hong Kong. The soon-to-depart Consul General J. Ian Burchett hosted the annual cocktail party and took the opportunity to celebrate the ties between Hong Kong and Canada and the fact that the SAR is home to some 300,000 Canadians.
