Tennis stars help Giorgio Armani unveil latest womenswear collection

When you think of tennis and fashion, Bjorn Borg and his popular range of underwear for men generally comes to mind. However, Borg, a popular player in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and his underwear are not really the height of fashion in 2016.

Thankfully, Giorgio Armani didn’t have to rely on players who were famous 30-40 years ago to help promote his latest collection. The designer managed to get the biggest names in tennis today — Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams — to attend his womenswear Spring/Summer 2017 collection in Milan recently.

Armani’s latest collection, Charmani, features short sarong skirts, sequel shorts in soft jersey fabric and trousers made from diaphanous veils. To round off the look the models wore flat slippers, strappy boots and high-heeled sandals.
